Juan Pablo López Teruel (Cúllar, Granada 1971) has been appointed new BBVA area director in the Valencia and Castellón area. Juan Pablo was until now the area director of BBVA in Murcia, a position he assumed in 2021. The manager now reaches an area with more than 400,000 clients, 75% of them digital. He replaces Luis Foix , who takes on the position of Head of Retail and Commercial Banking at BBVA Uruguay . Brief history Juan Pablo López has a degree in Economics and Business Phone Number Data Sciences from the University of Granada and is specialized in digital transformation. He has been linked to BBVA for more than 26 years . He joined the entity in 1997 and, from there, he acquired new skills that led him to occupy different directorates and positions of responsibility in the Southern Territorial Directorate of BBVA. To date, he led the BBVA area that includes the Region of Murcia. The new director will lead the business area that includes the provinces of Valencia and Castellón, and which has 89 offices. His focus in this new stage will be on expanding BBVA's leadership in the transition of both provinces that allows them to move towards a decarbonized, more sustainable and inclusive economy. Innovation, promoting financial health and sustainability will be the main lines of action to contribute to the economic growth of the region.
